What should I do while I wait for the plumber?
For burst pipes, turn off the water at the mains. For blocked drains, stop using taps and toilets so it doesn't overflow. For leaking hot water, turn off the hot water system if you can reach the isolating valve safely. Clear the area around the problem so we can get to it when we arrive.
